Shows to Watch: October 10, 2011

"Nine Magic Fingers"

Mondays on CBS at 9/8C
Ahh the infamous Two and a Half Men. The show is definetly where it needs to be at this point with Ashton Kutcher’s lead but there just seems to be something awkward/missing. It could be Charlie’s kickoff, or Jake not being half a man anymore, or even the fact that it just doesn’t have the same kick as it once did. But its been a couple episodes now and the show isn’t too bad as the quality of jokes and puns are still just as funny. Props to the writers and I hope that more people do pick up on this show! Alright well, on tonight’s episode of Two and Half Men, Walden continues to search for love after his childish antics cost him his marriage while Alan takes another stab at Lindsey…even though he burned down her house. Who knows what shenanigans the guys are going to get into tonight but it should be worth the time!

"Mea Makamae"

Mondays on CBS at 10/9C
Hawaii Five-0 is off to a great start this season picking up exactly where it left off. This show is honestly close to every other cop show except for the fact that it is based in Hawaii…making it a million times better! Remaking this show was definetly a good move by CBS and I plan on this showing being on TV for a while. For new viewers tuning in this second season, do yourself a favor and watch the action packed first season and then come back and enjoy the second season with all of us. It’s definitely worth the time. Anyways, on tonight’s episode of Hawaii Five-0 the team will be investigating a murder case but with a twist, it occurred in the clear blue deep coast of Hawaii. A shipwreck is discovered and a sh** ton of questions arise. Tune in and enjoy the Hawaiian swell!

"Transplant"

Mondays on FOX at 9/8C
House is back for its zillionth season and I can’t say I’m upset about it. House, being House, has added an extra 8 months to his sentence by pulling a couple of crazy stunts in order to save an inmates life. Dr. Foreman has other plans though as he comes to House with a proposal even he can’t deny. What House gets is the ability to work on some very interesting cases and get a jail free card. What is sure to bring some heat later on this season is that House no longer has freedom, a team, or an office. He is left with Wilson who he isn’t even friends with anymore. Tune in tonight and stay up to date with what promises to be a very interesting season of House.

"What Remains"

Mondays on FOX at 8/7C
I sadly wasn't able to inform you guys of this show during its premiere but I'm here to say that even though this show has some stuff to work on it looks pretty promising. I can't promise you'll be fully invested since its debut, but the first season is only a couple episodes in and anyone wanting to pick up a new favorite series should definitely look into this one. Nothing compares to Lost but who knows when another show will have that kind of impact. Anyways on TONIGHTS episode of Terranova Elisabeth, Jim, Malcolm, and Taylor all go out to investigate recent radio silences at a scientific outpost. Once there they discover a virus that is running rampant and causing memory loss, paranoia, and at last death. They must find a cure before its too late and Terra Nova gets infected. Tune in and let me know what you think!

Can't Fight The Outfits

No Longer on Mondays on NBC at 10/9C
The verdict is in and the first cancelation of the new fall season is yes, as most of us expected, The Playboy Club. The girls were beautiful and the outfits were stunning but that can never replace a good plot line. Heff could have possibly done a little more with this show and I definitely thought it had potential but even I have to admit it, there was nothing much to look or pay attention to except the bunny outfits. The show is also being scrutinized by the "Parents Television Council" for being indecent....uh oh...sorry kids! The show that NBC is hoping will bring viewers back is Brian William's Rock Center. At least we know this show won't make the plunge from 5 million debut viewers to about 3 million in one week!
