Future of HipHop: New Freshman Class Sound (Ben G.)

A friend and I were having a conversation about the future of HipHop/RnB...

This next decade of hip/hop will certainly change a lot of peoples perceptions. Many haven't caught on to the movement just yet, and J. Cole is certainly at the forefront of this just like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler The Creator and his whole movement of OFWGKTA, CyHi, Freddie Gibbs, and so many others man!

It's finally a positive one, don't get me wrong to ring in the 2010 year, and the beginning to 2011 we had some great music! This year was awesome, Lupe fiasco, Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Curren$y's mixtapes, Fucking Watch The Throne! Great musical year, but the next decade is going to bring out these small time artists that you see now, like J. Cole, Like CyHi, like Kendrick (who is the king of the west coast by the way people) WAKE UP!! Ya know it's not catching on as fast as I'd like but it's getting there. More and more people are really starting to fuck with the whole Odd Future, and really that I think is going to be the movement into this new decade! haha thanks man I'd love to write for BET and XXL or something, but it's all good. I keep it G!

If you get a chance check out the Black Hippie Crew, it's basically Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, and few others I believe that have their own version of an odd future kind of thing. There are a lot of small time artists too who are making some noise. Wes Fif, ASAP Rocky, Great People. I highly recommend you grab Patchouli.
